Hike leader Kelly O’Rourke was joined by CJ Woodburn, David Crowe, Charles Staples, Claire Cline, Susanna Williams, Pete Fink, Barbara Martin, John Brandt, Grace Nui, Lindsey Brown, and first timer’s Todd Patrick and the Lewis family (Laura, John and Jack). The weather was really nice we really had a great time. Jack did an excellent job counting the water crossings up the first part with a grand total of 15. Most of the streams were dry and posed no challenge. We also saw some unusual flowers called Dolls Eye berries, Actaea pachypoda along the way. We got a peak at the #1 backpack as Todd unveiled his pack at lunchtime. Complete with silverware and wine glasses! We all agreed that this is a very pretty hike with all the rock formations plus walking along the many streams hearing the water gently cascading most of the way is always pleasant. One of my favs for sure!!
